From "polycrisis" to possibility.

The many challenges we face don’t just sit side by side, they tangle together, shaping each other and our possible futures.

The challenges we face – from cost of living, climate change and health to technology, geopolitics and trust and inequality across all – are deeply interconnected, influencing one another in ways we’re only beginning to understand.

Legacy holds us still.

Much of how we work today was built for a different world. Legacy systems and structures at all scales – political, economic, organisational, cultural or even personal – have the potential to hold us in patterns that no longer serve us. To move forward together, we must have the courage to acknowledge the past, let go of what no longer fits.

The time is now

The scale and pace of change means that the window for shaping equitable and regenerative futures is narrowing. This is where leadership comes in. We need to explore and develop new ways of making meaningful change for the moment we are in.

Leadership for the moment we are in

Put simply, leadership is pathbreaking. If leadership doesn’t break paths, it maintains them. We don’t have time for that. Leadership for the moment we are in is not about a few people in positions of power neatly holding all the answers. It’s about creating the conditions for more people to come up with the solutions that impact them and would not be possible from one perspective alone. Either individually or collectively, leadership involves recognising what is no longer working for us, others or the natural world we are a part of. Stepping away from the current status quo and figuring out the next step from there. It is messy, uncertain and the lack of clear path ahead can feel paved with risk. Over the last century, we may have lost our way from the reality of this ancient understanding and leadership development has followed. We need a new way to prepare people for the reality of change we are trying to make. One that expands access, awareness, time horizons and care.
